The business area Compressor Technique is looking for a Global Purchaser to join the global purchasing team. Your mission is to bring efficiencies in the external purchasing processes and to execute benchmarks and negotiations with external suppliers, in multiple countries.

specific this means you will:
Create supplier agreements and follow up the implementation in the countries, both for indirect and direct external purchasing
Analyze in-depth external spend, identify potential projects and savings, set up and agree on a purchasing plan and priorities with the local entities
Map requirements, execute benchmarks and negotiate with external suppliers
Create some good agreements with fixed price lists, discounts, rebates, long payment terms, good service and quality
Follow up the implementation in the countries
Look for purchasing synergies between multiple entities/countries
Commodities to work on are very divers, examples are: material for service technicians, fuel, cleaning and facility, purchases with scope of sustainability, subcontractors etc.
Cooperate for the roll out of the global contracts for travel and fleet
Be a hands-on expert on external indirect purchasing processes in Customer Centers and support the countries where these processes need improvement
SAP SRM set up, PO compliance, use of catalogues, avoidance of expenses flows, vendor payment terms, vendor payment method, etc.
Support on purchasing fundamentals:
Train local resources on proper purchase techniques and tools
Create and roll out purchasing template documents and guidelines
Maintain and analyze reports and KPI’s
You will be able to work in a global environment without the need for relocation to a different country. Many meetings can take place digitally, but some travel is part of the job as you will work closely together with the people responsible in the local countries.
You will make sure that there is a good communication structure with all levels in the organization and with regular meetings, contacts and reports which are documented on a common Microsoft Teams/SharePoint platform.
Profile of the candidate:
Minimum 4 years of purchasing experience is a mustKnowledge of Purchase-to-Pay process
University/master degree in business, economics, finance, purchasing, or equivalent
Excellent negotiation skills with external suppliers
Action and results driven and be able to work independently
Team player and like working in a multicultural environment
Always looking for improvements, be able to drive change and motivate other people
Strong analytical skills
Good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, and be interested to learn more about SharePoint, Microsoft Teams and PowerBi
Excellent communications skills in English, other languages are an asset
Willing to travel upon need
