Detailed Function/Job summary
The intern will have the opportunity to work with experienced actuaries at SCOR, joining a motivated multicultural team in a flexible work environment. The key duties during this one-year internship include:
- Support the development, automation and optimization of actuarial analysis and reporting tools (Python, VBA),
- Interact with reserving teams from other Hubs of SCOR, in particular through worldwide working groups to improve actuarial practices and tools,

- Assist with implementation of IFRS 17 and Solvency II reporting requirements.
Experience
- Proficiency with MS Excel (VBA) and good knowledge through previous experience with statistical tools and object-oriented programming/development (Python, R and others)
- Familiarity with basic concepts of quantitative finance and statistics
- Knowledge in data science and experience with large datasets and databases is an advantage
- Prior experience with version control software like GIT is an advantage
Personal Competences
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (English), knowledge of French or German is a plus
- Good social skills required, enjoys working in a team environment and sharing knowledge
- Good analytical skills, fast comprehension of complex matters
- Proactive, autonomous with a solution-oriented approach
Education: Above average University Degree (Master, PhD) in IT, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Actuarial
